Spring is here and even though Arizona boasts one of the nation’s best winters, now is a time to make sure your home didn’t suffer any “winter blues”. Preventative maintenance is part of home ownership and can be done by most homeowners. DIY projects can not only save you money, but can be fun and rewarding. Here are a few tips to keep your home “happy and healthy” through the months to come.
1. Clean/replace HVAC filters. Dirty filters cause your system to work harder and your summer cooling bill to go up!
2. Drain your water heater. Sediment can shorten the life of your water heater and cause your electric bill to go up!
3. Check plumbing for leaks caused by freezing temps. Even though we don’t freeze often, it can happen.
Your Brookfield home is built with quality and efficiency that will last a lifetime. Proper upkeep and preventative maintenance will pay off not only by saving you money, but gives the homeowner satisfaction and peace of mind.
